Hawaiian themed Christmas party!

That's nothing you've heard before, is it? Sat here in my bikini and a sarong, feeling the tropics while being at a Hawaiian themed Christmas party. I can't imagine spending Christmas here, it's going to be so weird, and wrong!

Even though it's going to be weird and I'm going to be alone I will get to open some gifts that my lovely family sent down! I did not expect any gifts so I was shocked when a parcel came for me! But I am really glad that they sent it, maybe I will get to feel the Christmas a bit around me when I am opening them :)


Mollys' Cousin is here for 10 days! Lewis, he is a hand full, but he's fun to play with! Molly loves him so it's easier to take care of them together than Molly alone ;) I am getting a bit tired though since I have been working, counting tonight, 6 nights at shags this week! One night I had to work 9 hours! Tiring! But worth it for the money ;) I will definitely have lots of money to travel with in February! With the hours I work now, and since I will be working during Christmas and New years. Money money money...


It's weird with Linnea gone now, not gonna meet her for two weeks and then she's leaving again 3 days after she gets back! Leaving me behind here in Darwin.. :( I reckon she is having a good time though, Bali now and Sydney afterwards. You can say that I am quite jealous of her :P

Christmas is closing up...

The Christmas feeling is on top - hot, humid and the Christmas tree in town is right next to some palms! Santa Claus is visiting the mall, taking pics with kids in summer clothes. It will be awesome not to have a cold, cosy winter Christmas with the family. It's gonna be awesome to work, work and work in this heat during that week when Christmas and New years is. Yay!


Maggie left today, not going to see her for a month, the same for Linnea that leaves for Bali the 9th. Although her I will see for like.. three days between when she comes back from Bali and leaves for Sydney.. This is going to be an interesting Christmas!
At least I will earn a lot of money :P

Me and Louise have bought the tickets for our trip around Australia, it's going to be great!! :D It's like.. 7 weeks until she arrives in Darwin, NT! Looking forward to it!

Sushi here, and Sushi there! Oh my, how I LOOOVE sushi!! Me and Linnea are going to meet up in town later to eat sushi - AGAIN! I think I eat it AT LEAST once a week! So cheap, healthy and GOOOOD!

Work, work, cough, cold, vomit and Twilight

Working with kids, working at shenannigans, coughing my guts out, the cold that never stops.
Was suppose to work Friday night, but stayed home. Coughing until my abs was sore and I almost threw up since I had no air left to cough since I couldn't breathe.. Saturday I hung out with Linnea, Pace and Dan. Went on a tourist thing here in town, went bowling and went to the wavepool. Worked from 8 pm. Sunday I took it easy by the lake with Pace and Linnea, tried to show Linnea that gymnastics is harder than driving a scooter (more people drive scooters, right?) , I couldn't do a thing that she thinks is really easy.. :( I worked from 8 pm, hung out with the staff and drank a coke afterwards and then I got home and went to bed by 4 am. Got up at 7.20 am and went up to the house to have Molly the entire day. :D Playgym was one the schedule and when we got back she had lunch, and right before her sleep she vomited on the couch, then all afternoon I had to run around being everywhere, playing everywhere to keep her satisfied. Poor little thing...
Beth came home from Brisbane at 5.30 pm, and we had a happy Molly! Darcie was with Beth the entire weekend, missed her the adorable little mouse!

After I finished work I went to see Breaking dawn part 1 with Linnea, Maggie and Brigitte. It was awesome!! Loved it, but can't wait until the second part now!!

Long time no see...

Okay, A LOT has happened since last! I'm not that good in writing this blog ey? :P

First of to tell is: FAIL kakadu camping trip!
The weekend of the 14-16 of october; it started of with me and Linnea going out for "a couple of beers" although, I was going to be sober since I was driving. Anyhow, at 3 am we arrived back to her place after meeting some guys from Melbourne, hanging out with them and she got free drinks all night ;) At 6.30 am she got up to work, hung over ofc, and I kept sleeping till 8 am. We took it easy all morning, with the kid that she's taking care of - Henry! After this I went back to my place, got everything sorted for the camping trip and at 12 noon we left Darwin! We got a bit more than half the way when we got a flat tyre.. and had to drive back 3 km:s to get it changed at a pub! The guys that helped us change it told us it was so worn out so it was not strange that this happened, so we drove back to Maggies host parents farm! There we found out that all the tyres was changed just the week before... we considered going to Kakadu or going back home for a long time. But I had a headache and just wanted to go home so we did... Which was a good thing since I had a HIGH fever during the night and the day after!


During the week it was the same thing as always, taking care of two beautiful kids and hanging out with Linnea!
Friday the 21 of october I took Molly to the fun bus, it was great as always ;) She is wonderful that girl! Later that day I went to Youth and had fish'n'chips for dinner with them, and saw Ryan and Samuel go Jetty jumping, even though it is against the law! A good Christian youth group, don't ya think? ;) After a while I went to Linnea and we started the party! Vodka and Redbull for the win (and yes mum and dad, it is legal for us to buy here). Linnea drank twice as much as me, and she was wasted!! Haha xD Love that girl! We had a great night (except for the fact that I had to slap a guy, but Jack and Linnea helped me out of there when he started to get pissed - even though he deserved it!).
The 22 we just hung out in Maleys house, I went on skype with my family and Louise while Linnea watched a movie and then we watched another movie :)

This weekend, let's see.. we went out both Friday and Saturday! I was sober both nights :D
On Friday we had kind of a slow night, apparently all the old people decided that that's a good night to go out! But Saturday.. oh gosh.. we had a good time! We went to shenannigans and then to monsoons, met a few guys at monsoons and hung out with them all night, until we came back home at 7.30 am!!! I was sooo tired, sober and all and driving back home.. took a nap in the car before driving since driving while being that tired is nooot good! Anyhow, the whole sunday we took it easy, doing nothing until one of the guys, Daniel, called (we switched numbers before he became an ass hole) and said he was sorry cause he remembered what a "dickhead" he was the night before. Just in the end, before we left, he actually was! And he made it up for us by taking us to a movie. In time.. a BAD movie! But it was free, so worth it! ;)

Yesterday I saw Robert for the first time in three months!! Only through skype, ut still! It was wonderful!! :D
And right at this second Louise is either getting her ticket down here or already has it!! :D I'm so excited!! :D

Melker the frog

I've had a good week, helping with the kids and the horses as usual and hanging out with Linnea, Sabrina and Brigitte :)
Went bowling this friday, with the youth group from church! It was fun, even though some wanted the bumpers so we had to have them :(
Saturday morning I helped Beth with Molly, Darcie and 4 other kids :P then me and Linnea hung by the pool until we went to Casurina mall and got a new hairbrush for me (mine broke the other day, I need a haircut...) Anyhow, at night Sabrina came and joined me and Linnea at Beth and Pete's house since they were at the cattlestation. I left the girls and went on skype with my parents and sis! It was lovely! Then me, Linnea and sabrina watched "how to loose a guy in 10 days" haha xD It's a good movie!
Later that night Linnea got freaked out, and freaked out me as well since a frog sat in the shower. He had climbed up the wall and everything! Weird, green frog...
Sunday morning I went to the lutheran church and then me, Linnea, Sabrina and Brigitte went to Berry springs and in the evening we, ofc, went to the Mindil Markets!

It was a lovely weekend! Thursday night I called Robert as well, oh dear, how much I love him! It's hard to be so far away from him, but I long for the day I'm in his arms again! <3

And again to the frog, this morning he had climbed up my door, inside. Apparently he gets in through the toilet somehow.. hah xD We decided to name him, so we named him Melker! Melker the frog. Haha xD

O well, see ya another day!

Partystationmarket!

Friday:
Helped Beth with the kids all day, I was alone most of the time with either Molly or Darcie. Started the day with going for a walk/run, then I took Molly to Crocodylus park. When we got back we played for a while before she had lunch and had a sleep. After her 2 hour sleep I played with her for.. 40 minutes at the most, and then Beth came home and switched baby. So I watched a sleeping Darcie for a few hours until Beth came home and then I went to Linneas house.
At Friday night we went out for dinner at monsoons with the girls, and then Linnea and I kept the party going on another pub before we went back to dance at monsoons! Got free drinks by two dudes all night! Awesome!!! ;) We took a cab back to her place at about... 2.45 or something :P

Saturday:
Woke up at 10.30, had a shower, ate some and went back to "my place", then we went with Beth to the Cattlestation!! 180 000 acres... that's a huge station! Anyhow, we had a great time exploring "the real Australia" out there in the middle of nowhere, where the cells doesn't work ;) Saw wild crocodiles, kangaroos and rare birds!

Sunday:
We went back early in the morning, after hanging out in my room for a while we went to pick up Sabrina in Palmerston and hung out all day. Nightcliffs pool, Casurina mall, the Botanic Gardens and of course - Mindil Market! It was a great day!

Brisbane!

Okay, was a while ago I wrote now. Haven't had any internet! August 29 we went down to Brisbane, Beth, Molly, Darcie and me, to visit Beths family!We stayed at her mum and dads house which was located outside of Brisbane on a beautiful hill so you could look down at the alley.
I was sleeping in a cabin they had just built and I loved it, one day a kangaroo stood five meters from the front door!



















Anyhow, we spent a few days living with her sister Rebekah and I got the chance to just take the bus in to town and discover Brisbane :) I went to Southbank several days in a row, there was a beach made by humans there :P Like a fake beach, and it was great! September 2 I went to the art gallery and saw some beautiful paintings! Later that day I als met a girl named Ruby and she introduced me to Katie and Amber as well. We went to Southbank, "ate" at a chocolate cafe, soooo tasty!!! Then we just went to the shopping-street and walked around, being silly. Ruby forced some police officers to take a picture with me! I was soooo embarrassed!








































The Sunday after this, Sep 4, I took the train down to Surfers Paradise! Was so nervous cause I went alone, but as it turns out - people are actually nice ;) I hung out with a woman called Cecile, who was from Holland and it was great! I went whale watching, and saw dolphins as well. It was awesome!!!! On the way out to the sea we also saw lots of houses that are worth like 15 million dollars and they told us who owned it and stuff. One place a guy only uses as a place to park his helicopter! xD




What I had to do during the time I was down there (Brisbane) was, of course, to go to Ikea! Haha xD Felt like I was back in Sweden! Apparently they don't have "negerbollar" here cause Beth and Sue had no idea what kind of "cookie" it was :D So I made them try it ;) The only thing different with this Ikea compared to the ones in Sweden was that they had a "Swedish food corner" so I bought kaviar and skorpor and fladersaft and ballerina and some other things :P Should have bought more Kaviar though, gonna miss it!
During the time down there I also watched some of her sisters kids, they were wonderful! The time down there was great, but next up is, hopefully, Sydney and Melbourne!
Now I feel like I've been writing and uploading photos forever so I'll write more another day! See ya!

Polocrosse

Yesterday I went to Polocrosse with Maggie, an au-pair from Canada. It was great! Then I helped Beth with the kids for a few hours before they left with Darcie for a dinner at Polocrosse. They put Molly to bed before they left as well, so when I was eating my dinner my dear brother called! We talked about 20 minutes, and it was needed (from my side at least). About five minutes after that Maggie came again and we watched a movie and just relaxed, quite chill you know ;)

Today I got up at 7.15 am since Kim was going to pick me up at 8.15 am so I could go to church. It did not start until 10 am but they had practice with the band before so I sat down and read a book while I waited. Before the service began we went to get coffee, and they thought I was weird for drinking straight black coffee. I mean, doesn't many people do that? :P Anyhow, when I got home from church I packed all my things down into my big suitcase and dragged that up to the house. Then I packed everything I wanted to bring to Brisbane in another bag :) We are leaving the house at 5.30 am tomorrow!!
When I just got finished with that it was time to leave for the Polocrosse finally. This was the last weekend of the season! Pete's game was really good, although the other team got a few goals the last five minutes that made them win the championship...
Now I am going to call my boyfriend and then I am going to finish watching "Forrest Gump". Lovely!!

Better and better..

FUN BUS! That's where we went today, as we do every Friday! I had Molly by myself for about 30 minutes while Beth was exercising, and she's usually fine to be with me when Beth is not there. But today this mum came with her kid to the playground and started talking about her mum to her, which means that she was upset most of the time since she wanted her mummy. So annoying! After a while Beth came and I was "in charge" of Darcie instead. So we went to the fun bus and after a couple of hours we went to the doctor, where Darcie was gonna have her first needles! She was all right, although Molly was not! She screamed so high and pushed the nurse and me away. She is so protective of her little sister! It took her 10 minutes to calm down when I finally got her out of the room so the nurse could give her another injection, you see - Molly wouldn't let her come close!
When we got home from there I put Darcie to sleep, and Molly went to sleep as well. So Beth ran out and did some things she had to do, pick up some more tiles and so on.. When she got home I had a few hours by myself, and apparently Molly got upset when I left! Making progress there ;) She has actually started saying my name, not clear, but she's trying! :D

Then I helped a bit more before I went to Youth, Kim was actually so nice that she came all the way out here to pick me up and drop me of! (Since I can't drive until my new drivers license arrives) And I had a great evening over there, really starting to feel like one in the gang you know, it's great! :D

Some news BTW: There's coming a new Au-pair September 12, and guess what? SHE'S SWEDISH!! ;D

So now I am gonna watch a movie that I'll probably not finish tonight ;) See ya!

Loooong day!

So today I went up at 6 am, did the horses, went back inside. Texted a bit with my dearest boyfriend, got ready, went up to the house. Helped Beth with the kids, then we went to the park so that Beth could go to bootcamp and I could take Molly to the playground. About 10 am we went to the library, looked a bit on a puppet show, did some grocery-shopping. Then we went home, put Molly to bed and then Beth left to come back after about 2 minutes to leave Darcie since she was screaming so bad in the car! So I fed her a bit, got her to go to sleep, then Beth got back with the tiles. So we unloaded the car and then we ate some lunch to later on go in to the city to take care of my drivers license. Had to go to the mall to get a passport-photo, and then go to the NT house to get the forms from the Swedish consult and so on... Then we went to get some more tiles (the tiles BTW are for my bathroom and floor) and then I finally had some time to relax (it was about 3 pm)! Although, just until 4.30, then I went up to the house and Peter and Beth went to Polocrosse training and left me and Betty with the two little children! It went fine, and we had a nice evening. :) But now... I am soooo tired! BED, HERE I COME!!!!!

Making progress!

So I took a ride on Delta today, and I actually got her to trot! Three times without her starting to canter! So.. I am making progress! Then tonight I took care of Darcie, after Molly went to bed, and after a while a got her to sleep so I could make some dinner! Beth and Peter was out at something, I can't remember what, but the came home about two hour after they left :) I watched "When Harry met Sally" and couldn't stop thinking about my dear boyfriend back home, how I miss him! I long for the day that I am in his arms again! <3
Barry fixed the broken window at "my" car, and my room is going to be finished in about 4 weeks! I can't wait to see how I am going to live! :D Anyhow.. I have to go to sleep now, gonna have an early start in the morning to do the horses! ;)

Burglary!!

So today started out great! Texted with my dear boyfriend, I am sooo IN LOVE!!! <3 So I started out all happy, and went to Casurina Beach! Thought I would lay in the shadow and read and just take it easy, but after about one hour a guy came and asked me about my car. I was like "huh?" but then he told me that someone had smashed the window, broken in to the car!! And he was right, they had broken in and taken my bag with everything important in it! My Passport, Wallet (Drivers license, money..) and everything else. And on top of it all they had run over my glasses, I think at least, since it looked like it on the case! Anyway, the rest of the day we cancelled my card, and looked up how I can get a new passport. Tomorrow I am gonna go in and see how we solve the Drivers license thing, cause that is the most important thing for now. The passport I won't need in a while ;) In all this crazy stuff I found 100 dollars in my pocket! I had not put it in my wallet! Guess how glad I was that I had forgotten that! ;) My sim-card that I use to contact sweden was in the bag as well, so I am going to get a new one tomorrow! ;)
And now, about one hour ago, Peter gave me a lecture of what I should and shouldn't do here in Aussie :P I have learned something out of this! Do not leave all your Identification or any things of value in your car!!

Sun(ny)day

Well, today I woke up at 6.33 am and dozed of now and then until 09.00 am, then I got up and went to church! C3 church is really great! Kim, the youth leader said hello to me from stage because she did not have time to say hello last week. Haha xD She even texted me and said that she was sorry last Tuesday since she had not said hello at Sunday!
Anyhow, after church I went home and had lunch and watched half a movie before I filled to bottles up with water, changed into my bikini and went to nightcliff. I was planning to take a swim in the pool, but it was closed until the 28 of August... So I went to Casurina beach instead!! I took a short swim and stepped on a fish of some kind, that had hidden in the sand 'cause I did not see it and the water was clear! I got so freaked out that I ran out of the water and for the rest of the time I spent there I was just laying in the shadow and read a book!
It was really nice, but then I went home and took Delta, that crazy little horse, for a ride. She is like Ida, a horse I used to ride when I was younger, only worse! She can't trot for more than 3-5 seconds! The only time she trots longer than that is when she is walking and trying to speed up into canter and don't listen when I try to get her to walk again :P It is quite good exercise to ride that jumpy little horse!

It is getting better and better over here, but I miss my boyfriend, my family and my friends... <3

Molly mooo!

So yesterday I had a day off (until 4 PM), so I took it easy, read a bit, went exercising on a bike and so on.. it was a day when nothing special happened :P In the afternoon though I helped Beth with Darcie and so, but at 5 PM Beth and Pete was going to a wedding so I gave Molly some food, played with Play-doh with her and read lots of books! Then she had her bath and I took her to bed, the amazing thing was that after Beth and Pete left she only asked after Mummy one time! And she did not make a sound after I had closed the door to her bedroom. Making progress! :D The rest of the night I just took it easy, fell asleep in the sofa and then Beth and Pete came home again. So it was a quite nice, chill day! Now I am sitting here thinking about what I shall do today, and I have no idea so far! I might go to Nightcliff or Casurina Beach, it is a beautiful day after all!

BAT Cave

Yesterday I did the horses and went up to the house to help Beth, then we went to the park and I played with Molly for 30 minutes while Beth were exercising. Then we went to the fun bus, I kept an eye on little miss Darcie that was asleep until she got hungry.. during that time I met Becky again, a girl from England, but she had to run after the kid she was looking after so we didn't have much time to speak. But then I met this other Au-pair from Germany! Miriam, she was really nice even though it was quite difficult to talk since her English were limited. But she took my number and she will text me the next time the girls are going to get together, so that is nice :) After that I played a bit with Molly at the fun bus, then I drove home with her just to discover that Beth had left the gate closed! So I had to drive through Vanessa's gate and go through paddock to get to the house, and then I played with Molly for one and a half hour of something :)

In the afternoon I helped out a bit with the horses, the house and the kids, but we had some people over so there was not much for me to do a while there :) At 6.15 PM I went to C3Y (C3 Youth) at the BAT (Born again Team) Cave, this name we gave the room last week so it was the first time we used it :P We went to McDonalds, which apparently they do all the time. I don't know how long it is gonna last for me though, two weeks in a row now and feeling really unhealthy so I am probably gonna take a long ride on the bike later today! :P
But before we went to McDonalds we looked at a DVD, and the preacher talked about forgiveness. That some things you have to forgive to be able to move on, but then my question is: What do you do if you know that you have to forgive, but you just can't? When it is something that stops you from forgiving, when you just can't allow yourself to forgive? WHAT DO YOU DO?????

Birthday!!

So today I celebrated my 19:th birthday! I started the day with going on a ride around the track on Delta, a new horse that arrived yesterday :) Then I helped Beth out with the kids, took Molly to the park where I met Maggie (an Au-pair from Canada).. Molly went on the swing for a whole hour! Then Molly and I went to Crocodylus Park and saw when the crocodiles got fed. But then Molly got scared so we looked a bit on the kangaroos instead and the lions :) When we were done I walked home and pushed Molly in the pram, good exercise! Then I took care of her for a while until Pete and Beth got home, they had bought a chocolate cake! I also got a kit from Bodyshop, a measuring tape, some books about what you should see in Australia and a cheese and cheese slicer! Apparently not that many around here even know what that is, so she thought it would be as if I got a piece of home with me - which it feels like!
Then at 4.30 PM I helped out in the house again and with the horses until it was time for me to leave and meet Maggie so we could go to the market. It was really nice to just walk around, watch the sunset and just talk. To have someone that is a bit closer to my age was really nice :)
And now I am sitting here in my bed and looking back on a good day! I would not have said no to a birthday kiss and hug from Robert, but I am sorry to say that it is a bit far to go to get that! Well, not far, but expensive :P Well, I'll hear from ya!!

BBQ!

So today I went up before the sun - as usual - and did the horses. I had gone up a bit earlier so that I would be able to take it easy after doing the horses with breakfast and taking a shower. But that did not work well since the walker did not want to start! Apparently someone had stopped it with the big red button and it had stayed down so you had to twist it and pull it out so the walker would be able to start again... Just my luck when I had planned the time so perfectly! I had to shower in a rush and eat breakfast while getting ready... Nevertheless we went to Nightcliff after leaving Molly at childcare, so I walked and pushed the pram while Beth ran. Good job I say, Good job! After that I just took it easy, read a book, watched some TV and uploaded pics at facebook :)

Around 4 p.m we went to Jared, Peters brothers, place for a BBQ. It was really nice meeting Peters Dad and his partner for the first time and Jared, Sharon and Betty ofc! Jareds horse Sammy had colic, so the vet came and sorted that out for him. It was a really nice evening, and now I am about to watch the move "Australia" just because I have actually seen the bridge in the movie now and because the city they are in is suppose to be Darwin ;)

Oh well, I had a nice day, now I will let the TV entertain me ;)

2 Months!!

So today Robert and I have been a couple for two months! I called him as a celebration, it was lovely to hear his voice! I miss him sooo much, but hopefully time will fly by and before I know it I will be back in his arms! Although I want time to fly by so I can meet him again, it does not mean that I do not want to enjoy the time I have here in Australia! This is my big adventure! I am actually here - I did it!
Anyhow, today was my day off, but I ended up organizing Beth and Peters DVD-box. It was a mess! But now it is categorized A-Z, it took me a while though. It was actually quite nice, to have something to do and see the result. Moreover I joined them to Mollys swimming-lesson and met another Au-pair called Maggie. We switched numbers and hopefully we will meet Thursday.

After that I took some pics of the house and so, since both family and friends have been complaining that they have not seen any. ;) I also took a swim in the pool, it was really refreshing!

Now I am going to watch the rest of a movie I started watching earlier and then I am going to bed since I have to get up before sunrise tomorrow to take care of the horses! It is amazing to get up in time to see the sunrise! I will try to take a picture of it someday soon I think.

Two weeks ago I left Sweden!

It is wonderful down here in Darwin! I am starting to get in to the routine, getting to know Molly and getting the hang of how I take myself from place to place. It was weird driving on the wrong side of the road and in the wrong side of the car in the beginning but I'm starting to get use to it now. It will probably be really weird to come back to Sweden and teach myself back again - nevertheless that is a problem that is far away in the future!
I have found this great church called the C3 Church, the people there are fantastic and you can feel that God is there. Today a man said that we should forget the past and look to the future, whatever happened in the past does not matter to God cause he has plans for our future! I really needed to hear that, let go of things in the past and look forward is what I am going to do - with Gods help of curse.

So tomorrow I have the day off but I am going with Beth to Mollys swimming-lesson, hopefully another au-pair that is usually there will be there so I can make some friends. I do not want to be all alone during the time I am going to be here do I? So cross your fingers that we will get along!

I talked to Mum and Dad today, we were going to skype but my internet was to slow.. although we talked on the phone instead. So I am not as homesick as I was before, so that is good :)

I am going to bed now, gonna watch a movie and read a little. I will try to remember to bring the camera around and take some pics for you!

Australien!!

Sa har ar jag! Framme i Australien! Underbart! Det ar jattefint har och familjen ar underbar, barnen sjukt sota och hastarna ar fina! Min lagenhet kommer vara fardig tills vi kommer hem fran Brisbane, alltsa i September ;) Kommer bli grymt! Det enda som ar lite jobbigt ar att jag saknar Robert.. men jag haller mig upptagen sa jag inte hinner tanka sa mycket :P
Idag var vi i gallerian och fixade SIM-kort till mig och lite sant, sedan akte vi en runda till mataffaren sa att jag ska kunna hitta dit sjalv sen :) Lite forvirrande att aka pa fel sida vagen, sa har inte kort an - men bilen star och vantar!
